Young Goodman Brown, dynamic or static character?
Young Goodman Brown was a dynamic character because in the beginning of the story it seemed that he had a happy life, with his wife Faith and just living s good life but then when he goes for a walk and goes into the woods he slowly progresses and changes into thinking dark things and justnis depressed and starts to see people different from how they were when he was living his happy life before he went into the woods. I think he experienced a dream but he took what he experienced into his actual life and saw things different from then. How i can tell that he changed is in this quote , "A stern, a sad, a darkly meditative, a distrustful, if not a desperate man, did he become, from the night of that fearful dream ", another quote is "Often, awaking suddenly at midnight, he shrank from the bosom of Faith, and at morning or eventide, when the family knelt down at prayer, he scowled, and muttered to himself, and gazed sternly at his wife, and turned away " , these quotes show how Young Goodman Brown changed after everything that happened to him.
